How hard is it to quit a job?

I have had 4 jobs.

1st at Halim&Lee where I quit to study. My last day was at client's place whom I did not even inform and i dont rmber having farewells unless u meant farewell by bidding goodbye

2nd at Ernst & Young where I quit for better life and after enduring long hard work (or hard to endure coz I am weaker one) I was so emotional... partly becoz I felt like a failure for leaving (though I know it's a right decision). I cried until my contact lenses came off. I dont rmber seeing anymore cried for leaving in ernst & young. I even cried in the HR manager room! I dont know what got onto me, but i was definitely very emotional that day.

3rd was quitting from Samling internal audit to transfer to accounts department. There was no farewell until because there was no one else in the department except for the head of department. He couldnt be having a farewell for me coz he was the main reason I left (and everybody else). I shifted place that day and I really liked my new place... until I had to move to Sg Buloh.

Moving to Sg Buloh was also a relief becoz KL office was a lil bit boring. I was sadder to leave civilisation than my colleagues & office, to be really blunt.

4th is NOW! I agreed to a short notice to my prospective employer and I landed into great shit! I don't know if I will cry or not. I have been thrown some big chunks of work to finish which seems like a punishment for leaving on short notice. Oh yeah.. i was naive to think that I do not need to finish the backlogs if i leave on short notice. I think i will be really stressed out the next 2 weeks up to the LAST day!!!!!!!

The never ending news about Japan quakes on CNN is devastating. Dear all, please be considerate and have conscience dealing with this matter. I don't think there is any explanation on this, it is just nature & science.

To the rest of us around the world, dont live under the "tempurung" and be petty with small matters, when there are always larger issues to look at. Appreciate life!

Recipe for making your own red eggs

Ingredients:
Eggs (depending on how many guests you have)
A big pot of cold tap water
Vinegar
A teaspoon of salt
Red food dye

Steps:
1. Put fresh eggs into a big pot of cold tap water and leave the heat on low (the low heat avoids the eggs from cracking). Leave eggs to simmer for about 30-45 minutes.

2. Put in a few drops of vinegar into the water, adding a teaspoon of salt (the salt and vinegar serve to remove any waxy coating on the egg shells, and also make the shells porous - which helps to absorb the red dye).

3.In a separate bowl, drop a tablespoon of red dye into it.

4. Remove pot and pour the hot water out. Scoop one egg and place it into the bowl with the red dye. Coat the egg evenly with the red dye. Use a spoon to avoid getting dye on your fingers. Repeat until all eggs are dyed red.

5. Leave the egg to cool (you can use an egg carton to stand the eggs in). When it's cooled down, you can present it in a serving bowl for your guests.

I have started my staying home leaves as it has been difficult driving around n to exercise my privilege...

My baby could be growing at 10gram /day and the stretch marks are getting more stretched and skin stresseddd.

Baby's hiccup is also stronger than i first felt it. From the scan on Monday, doc says baby has long legs and we can see thick pouty lips.

Wokie baby.. stay as long as you wish to but come out on 25th March maybe? okok? to save the trouble of inducing u to come out on 26th...be a good boy~

Estimated baby's weight at 35th week was 2.5kg (not 2.7kg as i thought)

On 37th week check, baby was 2.85kg

Now at 38th week... mommy have sudden held back on her walking pace!

Pregnancy at 35 week

It's Friday again and it's another week milestone for our baby teo. Baby Teo has been hiccupping frequently since yesterday, during evening time.

Each hiccup session is about 2-3 minutes and it feels like a consistent "dang dang dang". Mommy knows baby teo well enough to know that this light consistent feel issit my blood flow/heartbeat and not baby teo's kick.

Estimated weight to be 2.2kg(33weeks) +250g + 250g = 2.7kg (let's see what the ultrasounds say on Monday)!

Baby's weight: Lil baby was 1.7 kg last 2 weeks at 31 weeks.

My weight: Undisclosable! haha

I can still walk as fast though the sole felt hardenned from my new weight. Baby starting kicking more on the upper right side of my tummy (that's just right below the right breast) when he was about 30 weeks. Most of the time, followed with smaller movement at the lower left side of my tummy.

Can't wait.

I am trying out the collage function so that I only need to upload a few photos. This was a real nice vacation. We love our honeymoon so much. The weather was good enough for us; no rain at all but only big waves that was nice to play with.

We love our room. Picture shows that we were really excited about the room.

Lunch and Dinner was fantastic.

Wanted to wake up for the sunrise; but too many cloud to see anything; we didn't make it on time anyway... hehe

Holiday mar... of course involves makan again...Our first stop was Gerai Hong Kee (at Tong Sui Kai, opposite Sam Tet primary school) - as The Stars - Street Good Guide ~places to eat. A small stall with 3 full tables- business was good at 3pmOrdered our Tong Sui and "ko kuey"

Bubur charchar & bak go yi mai (don't mind the translation :P)Since I am from Ipoh, must explain a lil, this gerai isn't the only stall selling tong sui back in 10 years old. Somehow it is the only stall that stays only open at 2pm (till late at night). If you visit tong sui kai at nights, there will be more stalls. 10 years ago, there weren't any food courts around, so this was THE place to come for supper (flashback nice supper times with my dad).

As years passed, we seldom come to this place mainly because of the carpark limitation; the night club was just opposite the area and indian businessmen started to claim their areas to collect money from parkers. (very sien to see them)

On the way back, we passed by the Menteri Besar's Raya Open House. There were many cars parking by at the roadside... aiseh... should come here for free food instead. I will go next raya. HEHE. For dinner, we went to the famous "Pusing Restaurant" behind Oceon. Don't play play.. gotta call in the afternoon to book your place. Above, "Lo han chai"

All dinner tables has names and menu ordered. Don't come walk-in to avoid dissapointment.

"Tauhu telur" the tauhu is standing! but it is soft and yummy :P Must try~

"Ikan Bakar" this is RM60 before discount; and it is great! tender meat! **** it is not as small as it look in the pic, its size is about 30 cm. Must try too~

We also ordered a "sayur lodeh" - cabbage and stuffs cooked in santan curry and watever spices. Also must try that~ forget to take pics :)

Definately recommended place to eat... I had first thought that it is a restaurant that served food from the Sudan Kingdom but actually there are food from Sunda, Indonesia. All 7 of us left the place satisfied; RM300 discounted to RM200 and we got good food and full tummy.

It was Raya Eves and colleagues were in celebrative mood; whenever anyone asked me about "what to eat for lunch?" I will suggest places where there are offering discounts; as of now it will be: California Pizza Kitchen (rm10 voucher for rm 50 spending with citibank cc(, sakae sushi (free temaki for every main dish ordered) gagaga - I am auntie/I am a big-eater. On Raya eves, Sundanese Restaurant was offering 30% ala carte for lunch specially during the ramadhan month; Raya eve will be the last day of such offer. Somehow nobody will know of such offer except for me: "how did u know about the offer?" "because I am auntie lor".

I will google about the new restaurant before I go; just one minute google will do, to check on any good or bad recommendation/pictures. That's where i saw pic about the standing tauhu.

*sigh i lost the photos* I am so sad... luckily i still have some photos taken during our dinner... at Cheong Wah seafood restaurant , Puchong. Check out the food too!

Then we were complaining Shin & Heng not being able to join us... esp Shin coz she was still spending time with Justin. So, the above poses showing "Missing No.2" coz Shin is no.2 in the siblings.

Less attack for Heng, coz he couldn't make it, as he was "studying" for exam in Ipoh. Note, only one photo showing "Missing No.6"

Many retakes yea. Coz the food was so slowww... restaurant business really good!

The food took so long that even my dear Mr Teo got bored and actually WANTED to cam-whore with us... Check out his idea on how to pose for "Missing No. 2" using the table no. plate.

Then we posed with our no.; the odd no. group (No. 1,3,5) and unfortunate Chieng has to pose alone in the even no. group (No. 4)

Finally the food came! Yummy! the "pai kuat" was NOT that good, but we still finished all the food. Check out the clean shiny plates...

I will go back to this restaurant for their crabs (i love crabs but i can't afford to spoil my manicure now) and their famous "kam heong" lala.

Sambal Sushi, Bandar Puteri, Puchong

This must be the newest restaurant in the area; occupying 3 blocks, the name of the restaurant is special enough to attract us there. Our verdict; don't expect such special sambal food; they still serve the average japanese food that's well... quite good. :)

yea... I ate 3 and tears was coming out... until we gotta remove the wasabi out from the tiny sushi... haha

the table of the restaurant... i have no idea why they are doing direct-selling at the same time; rental at puchong very expansive kah? and the products are totally unrelated?! See the hole on the table, it is to fit the bottle with chinese description (the direct selling stuff). In the restaurant also has a full cabinet displaying the product. thank god the waiter didn't further introduce the products to us.

This is my 1st (only?) September post... Sorry a... I haven't been diligently updating my blog hehe...

My dad kidnapped my grandma (ah ma1) in July for about a month. His tactic of kidnapping:
Dad:"琪's (that's me) wedding soon, come here and at the same time, do surgery for your eyes"
Grandma:"ok"

After my reception on 22nd July (Sunday), ah ma went for check up on her eyes; but doctor suggested her not to go for the surgery. (now ah ma stuck in Ipoh; coz all my aunties has gone back to Segamat after the weekend (like 11pm bus to reach Segamat on 6am morning on monday!)

Poor ah ma got stuck at home... no rubber tapping for her... no cycling for her... She doesn't watch TV, don't really read newspaper etc etc. And dad refuse to buy bus ticket for her to go home. When my sisters came for visit to KL, my grandma found out about it few days before their visit and suggested that she followed my sis to KL, and take bus home to Segamat on her bus.

Dad says: "No more bus ticket de"

See! My dad really kidnapped my grandma... >_<

Dad: "It's not your home until after 31st August"

New office, new lifestyle

So far now... I never go off from office later than 6:15pm, and always reach home before 9pm (with yoga) or before it's dark (without yoga)

I was very happy on my first week at work! My nice dept mate treated me a welcome lunch at chilies, I go back at 5pm everyday! On 2nd day of work, I got the ever-so-limited permanent parker card inside KLCC... save my cash of RM19 everyday! On the 3rd day of work, the company decides to change working days from 6 days a week (alternate sats) to 5 days a week, normal working hours up to 5pm extended to 5:45pm. I am so lucky!

I don't like DELL... at least it is NEW... Window Vista is cool too!

After 3 weeks at work, I am still quite cheery and my tables are more homely now (those pics taken on first week). Auditors are not used to having permanent tables, what more decorating it.
Until one day, this silly lift-cleaner man blocked the swing door of the pantry with his ever-so-heavy machine. I couldn't see his machine from the other side of the door, so when I was coming out from the pantry with my HOT-HOT green tea... and push the "SWING" door... it "swang" back at me... and then I "oh my god" out loud and i saw the whole office turned at me...

I was with my mouth open and the green tea has poured onto my chest and my assets. aarghhhh. I thought I was pretty calm... except that I nearly teared (until I reached the clinic), and then wailed after that at home.

Later on, my colleagues recalled that I was pretty "chang kai" because I scolded the fella although I was still obviously very upset with the situation. Goodie... now everyone in the office knows that I am "chang kai". Don't you think the guy need not scolding? He is lucky because so far there isn't any obvious mark on my chest and assets. Grrrr...

So now... whenever I walked pass the "swing" door, everybody let me go first (i am the vvip) haha and the lift-cleaner will go out of the lift whenever I happen to step in. Poor guy he is really afraid of me, even his female colleague looks afraid of me.

I think it's because of my red sexy and scary manicure.

hehe I am off my diet plan until 3 weeks before the actual day of my wedding!

This is a restaurant from Singapore. Italian and Japanese Fusion food.

Our first dish, yummy cream with an egg and bacon

The best thing is this restaurant has waxed dishes all inside and outside their restaurant for all their pasta dish. Those are very nice to see, made me salivate and made our way into this restaurant.

Second dish was basically seafood lasagna (called something else), again SAPU habis, forgot to take pictures coz it's so yummy.

That's all lor... I will come back after MERDEKA... haha!

hi EVERYONE!

i am back from my ipoh wedding lunch reception which was on sunday. Reached KL at about 12am last night and went to work this morning! I don't know why i didn't apply for leave on monday lor... haha coz i tot only bride side lunch, not actual day, may not be as tiring. But it's not true o... so do apply for leave for the day after! I only applied for the days BEFORE the reception coz need to do some preparation!

I wish to thank all my family members especially my father, mother, my 3 sisters, 2 brothers, my 7 aunties, 1 uncle, 4 uncles, 3 aunties, so many cute cousins brothers and sisters, my PIL, BILs, BIL's wife and my friends for their presense, help, and so much so much help. Very gam dong that they came all the way to ipoh from johor/spore/seremban/kl. Very touched, even it is jsut a dinner but i had few moments of almost closed to tear (one or two drop only la). Eg when i see my dad's frens who has been my dad's customer who told him that they know my dad for like 20 plus years and coming to support him. I really need to write a BIG THANK YOU note to them, and the list as of now seem endless! I was so touched by everyone's gesture!

well well not everything wen on that well for the lunch! coz the table arrangement managed by my sis was quite chaotic and ended up many empty seats at tables and lots of TAHPAU. My guests i think 50% bring back food when i greet them bubye lor. lots of waste, but it's not a main issue though it could be avoided. And I think I was quite a 38 bride, although I never intended to be... I tot I just wan to pose nicely here and there... but dunno why can't control myself and seem like kid i think. haiyo... still waiting for my photos to see if i also look 38 in photos.................................!!! My parents, HB and I only ate the first 2 dishes... and then we went yamseng for all 40 tables (yamseng not my idea but gotta follow my dad)

My relative comes from segamat and PIL from seremban, i was so busy the day before to fetch them from bus and train stations (3 batches) and bringing them to their place to stay and around. and we had open house at night; food wasn't enough and had to went to the shops opposite our house to tah pau back! I didnt eat ANY dinner despite having buffet at my house lor...so yea my weight on my sunday had stabilised to about 49 kg (1 kg more reduction) haha.

MUA, Marion and photographer Sau Leng from Jetfynn also very nice and did a good job! GDL was OK although my parents was so blur.................. luckily got my aunties and grandma acting as advisors for them.

I am still so overwhelmed!!! hahah even my manicure was good (though i had to redo at another place in ipoh, the puchong shop sucks)

for my bridal studio... the dress (only one) from vogue was OK, but i tore their lining, luckily on the sewn thread only... not the clothes... hopefully they wont penalise me...
However the accessories given werent fantastic! I hope to get better ones for AD.

It's the time of the year. Summer holidays and my sisters are back from Moscow. Both of them took the same flight, touched down about the same time but on Saturday a week away from another.

I waited for this sister for one hour at the gate, because she was out just 20 minutes after touchdown, and went to a CORNER to wait. When I found her, she was so happy coz she got the drumstick she requested.

So I came early for this sister, and she made me wait half hour before she stroll out (with 4 bottles of Hennessey). She said she wore yellow because it's my favorite colour! It's true yea... see I wore the SAME yellow shirt for both the Saturdays... don't ask me why. keke.

On one particular Thursday... ytm have arranged few of us to meet for wilber's farewell and yh's birthday. Turns out it was for my birthday as well... (seven days earlier i think) haha! ytm is really gettin good at planning and surprising!

The place was at WIP, Bangsar Shopping Centre. Nice food but with some hairs inside! (2 full strands!), complaints from John sent the team of cook bending their head analyzing the appertiser in the open kitchen. We don't really know what there were analyzing, prob just to guess the culprit/perform DNA in the hair.

Because she look nicer in construction hat. (it's a WIP construction hat.. get it? I didn't get it very well fast, luckily they didn't force us into construction boots as well)

Hostel at Palm Spring @ Kota Damansara

An arrangement between a college in PJ and some agent in Kota Damansara have a student to pay RM350/month (including transportation to college) for a room WITHOUT doors, wardrobe with RAW wood, kettle using gas, 17th level condo unit without window grills, table is small as ur TV size, no ceiling fan (stand fan only) in bedrooms. One unit of such condo is rented to 8 students.

Fair kah? I thought a condo in Palm Spring can rent unfurnished for RM1000/month? Wanna charge that high.. at least provide properly.

I can say that I am the one to send my siblings off to their FIRST hostel. So experienced that I practically do not need to think what to pack for them/know what they need.

Most of the time, I feel heartbroken after leaving them in the hostel due to the condition of the place!

I am getting a new office soon; the new place may or may not be as nice but I will love it. hehe.

In my old office... it's a long wait to get a place to call your own and to have your name plate stuck at your corner. When I finally deserved a place... I think I got a real nice one... right in the middle of EVERYONE. Which also means that if the bosses want to peak at you... he will have to go right in the middle of the crowd to do it.

Here's the messy place... trust me.. my table is considered clean. Notice some small decor... the amount of files don't allow for many decor.

My faithful IBM T60; the one I truly miss... luckily I have an old HP nx500 to use now.

Our cubicle divider is low, just tilt your head a little you can see everyone. In front of me... I can see Yeen Yeen & Vivien, on my far east I can see Stephanie, far far north I can see the real bosses... behind me I can see the shared printer.

2)shell trying to gym and waiting for Mr.Fai to finish work,
3)neelee & chiaee spending family time & (not) attending wedding dinner in malacca.

We had it in TGI Friday's Sunway Pyramid because young ZhiChing politely requested no-sushi and nodding shyly to BURGER.

BREAKING NEWS: Petrol will be RM2.70 a litre at midnight tonight

PUTRAJAYA, Wed:

The new price of petrol is RM2.70 per litre beginning midnight tonight, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced just a moment ago. The 78 sen hike or 40 per cent increase is still below the antiticpated RM4 per litre price projected earlier and among the cheapest in Asia.

Initially I wanted to wait for husband to pump the petrol together... somehow a sense of urgency told me to go immediately.

There are only 2 petrol station most assessable to resident of Pusat Bandar Puchong. It wasn't that bad when I reach petrol station at about 6:10pm, queued for 15 minutes and pump RM50 worth of petrol (this is RM70 worth from midnight onwards)

Latest rumour at 6:45pm said one petrol station in puchong is out of petrol, and at 7:20pm husband who is on the way back from Puchong says 2 petrol station is closed along the way.

So, pump it babe!

of coz Mr Hau doesn't dance in class... but he really talk like him... and he wasn't faking it... hahahah and he showed us these...

I am a sucker for freebies! I have yet to go past these marketing strategies! Anyway haha these are my excuses for the following things I went for on Friday:

This lasted for 2 hours with right face makeup by the cosmetic artist and left side of the face done by me (with professional touch-up later of course). This nice the surprisingly... they didn't push any sales to me! Good service! I will definitely return there.

Baking... is it for me? Part 2

After my (no great) muffin bakery experience, I have decided to attend a real class with hands on trial on baking. Bakewithyen.com at Bandar Puteri offered varieties of classes eg: western, muffin decor, and even "you char kwai" classes. I have chosen to attend the following:

Bread Making Class (Hands-On):-

1. Using sponge dough to make:- a) Hotdog Roll b) Polo Bun c) Mexican Bun d) Chicken Floss e) Red Bean Roll
2. Using boiled dough to make sandwich and loaf bread

Tools Required: Sandwich loaf pan,cutter, small knife , towel, apron.

( Limited to 15 participants only)

Teacher: Mr. Hau Fee: RM70/-

I hope that after that class, I can make sugar-free bread for my papa and cholesterol-free bread for my hubby ^_^

I reached 10 minutes earlier and managed to save and 2nd seat in front. Gone are the days when I hate attending classes and want to be seated right at the back of the class (uni/secondary school time), by ACCA time I sat on the 2nd row, and nowadays I will rush to the front row in Yoga classes. (opss except during my boring company training).

When I first step into the class, I was quite disappointed with the condition of the "kicthen". I was expecting nice granite kitchen counter with water pipe and peralatan memasak , each for everyone. Something like school lab will be good. Instead I got these...

Nearly 10am, more and more students came in... the class is limited to 15 participants, it was half full when I called the evening before... I was participant no.12 when I registered in the morning. Surprisingly, the class was full! 15 students including 3 men! and from their look, you can never guess that they like baking!

More surprise when our teacher started the class... Mr Hau said "OK Hali ini kita belaJJar buat LOTI a!"... "Kita start dengan swiss bun (he meant sweet bun)!" took us a while to understand what he meant by referring to the class material. It got MORE confusing later on when he referred POTATO as POPATO... some of us really couldn't stand that and laughed aloud.

OK without much further a due... here are the produce!

bahahaha I was given a chance to relish my secret ambition to be a superstar! I went to the Estee Lauder Model Search at Midvalley! It was quite a good deal; to have pay RM300 and in return you get make up, hair done, free 10R photo of you, RM250 voucher, some coupons etc and chance to participate in model search (glamour tak?) plus I don't get embarrassed for not being able to do my own make up for a wedding dinner that evening.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in late April 2007. Hotel is clean, modern designed (we didnt want a thai looking room), suitable for youngsters, location is good very near to the beach, near travel agents and stalls.

Things that are fair is such as the staff and the bed (quite hard - not for honeymooners but yes if u are just sleeping on it).

One thing I will not recommend is the massage/spa although they are having promotion for buy 1 free 1 now, the price is cheap but lack quality; massager is not skillful enough and spa is normal. Despite the different packages signed up by the friends, the massage are standardise, just ignore the fancy names. Facial is "hmmm" i feel asleep (at least comfortable yes!). However, I will still recommend to try elsewhere.

I booked a superior room through latestays.com. No problem with the room bookings as full payment was made before i arrive.

No, we didnt mind the
1) "no-bathtub" - the shower is very good enough, no time to spend in a tub
2)"short-cut entrance via staircase thru carpark" - no hassle , and
3)"no-poolside view" - why spend time staring at the pool when u can be at the pool. Pool is closed after 8pm anyway.

Just insert my own email address and voila!
So many things about me exposed! It seems that my email address tells more about me than my IC no. or home address! So many of us without realising, are more wary of giving away IC no. than email address...

The search results even offer links to all my Flickr (a YAHOO company!), Friendster, Multiply (which I only created it about 1 week ago!) , Flixster and Hi5! I don't never remember having the later 2 accounts!

I am totally in shock! What can I do? My flickr account has so many of my travel photos that was meant for my friends without them having to take trouble of logging in and creating accounts etc. I can basically close down my multiply account! and also dispose my email? This shows how important Privacy settings is... gonna have to change it all...

This site is a devil... it has no right to publish my information here without asking me. This is why I don't even bother publicising the site address and censored the name of the site; don't want to have any free publicity for the site. I am sorry that I have entered some of my friend's email address to check on their site and was surprised that all my searches return the following:

Mama... You are the greatest... I will never understand the great extent of your love for us, until I experience motherhood myself one day. You nurture us... provide us with the best that you can do for us, forgive us for being the naughtiest babies, children, teenager, young adults and adults. You are seldom tired... as you push yourself to your limit to provide for us. No matter how hard, you never seem to give up on us; yet sometimes we do not offer that to you.

Mama... I will try to remember that Mother's Day should not be celebrated only once a year; just as how you put us on the top priority everyday of the year.

My mom...We love you. Happy Mother's Day to mothers!

I bought a pillsbury baking recipe. The instruction is merely 5-6 sentences. Looks simple enough...

However half the powder turned into 12 horrible muffins!

I suspect I put in too much flour. sigh! I thought this is suppose to be easy!

Election fever!

wow! it was almost as exciting as fluff contest and any football games! Our vote counts! and the people made their choice! and we made the difference! I am proud that malaysian are coming to the senses of denying the majority 2/3 to the BN... although the words were shouted since the last election in 2004 (at least!)

It's amazing and almost shocking! I still rmber watching the election results while thinking that it was boring coz ALL the results were BN winning (now I dare to admit that I am opposition supporter!) and thinking that there will be NO CHANGE!

I hope all elected will make good use of their position! and for those who lost! let's see if there are any shits to discover about you during your reign!

For those who won but did not deserve too simply because you were hiding in some villages such as ayer etc.. ulu etc... hulu etc.. pekan etc bahaha... better tighten your buckle k!

and i hope the fella who pasted his big face on the billboard at the LDP (turning to the FHighway) didnt win! coz ur billboard is just so irritating and serve no purpose!(not like u are proposing!)
